Elder Holmes, the vampire in the sun???

This is a cute story. Dear Matt was in a bike wreck a few weeks ago. They were already late to their appointment with investigators, so they just kept on going. Poor guy was hurt pretty badly with a scraped up knee and hands and face. He asked to use their restroom to freshen up, and came out DAZZLING, because apparently there was glitter left on the towell his dried off with! I can just imagine the chuckles that night when he emerged. Our little Edward Cullen...

A side note, he is doing just fine. Thank goodness. Just bumped and bruised, but all better now.

3.22.11 Transfer to Eldorado Hills

After 4 months in Elk Grove, Matt is being transferred today to Eldorado Hills. Located in the northern part of the mission. He says they get to drive a truck?!?!? Interesting! He is excited for his new companion. He is one of the elders he came out of the MTC with!

But, he is sad to be leaving his beloved area and his dear companion Elder Hatley. We all understand the feeling. It is difficult to leave the dear ones you have served, loved, and taught. The Lord will care for them, that much is sure. Do not worry, dear Matty!

SAD SAD STORY!

Matt mailed me his memory card for the first 6 months of his mission. I was so excited to see the pictures! Well, lesson learned. During the mailing process those little cards pass under many scanners and magnetic fields, which erase them totally. It's so sad. We are going to try and take it into an expert, but the prognosis isn't good. So, if you must send memory cards in the mail, make sure it is in a protected case inside a protected case.... you get the idea.
